Rover Rapid Prototype
These photos were taken in the Computer Repair and Electronics lab at the Huntsville Center for Technology. The students are building a rapid prototype rover with off-the-shelf hobby robotics parts. The RCSP, with the aid of the students, will use this rover for quickly testing new ideas for the lunar rover that is still being designed.

The rover pictured here is the students' first version built with parts they had in stock in their lab. They had just finished getting their first motor programmed when the school's bells rang and they had to go home for the weekend.
The video shows a motor running while being controlled from a nearby computer. The students were excited to start their weekend with this success.
New parts are on order so the students can continue to explore new ideas and learn practical engineering skills while building the next version of their rover.
